Anyone out there looking for a new house? The first time around it was pretty exciting because it was JUST a house hunt. Find a place, get financing, move in! This time around it's a little more of a pain in the ass because not only is there a house hunt, but house sale. It's a great time to buy but a shitty time to sell. That being said if anyone is looking for a sweet 2 bedroom condo in Dorchester, MA with 12' ceilings drop me a line!
Good luck with the house hunting, Tak!
ReplyDelete'There goes my ethnic advantage' lol.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, choose well.
Hey Osamu --
ReplyDeleteYellow power! Sorry I don't host the show anymore. But thanks for alerting me to this on Twitter, and I wish you big gobs of happiness on your house hunt.
Yours gookly,
Suzanne
Thanks guys! Special thanks to Suzanne for commenting!
ReplyDeleteWe're in the financing stage and that's ALWAYS stressful. I always thought it would be funny if HGTV dedicated a whole day's programming to the entire process of buying a house. First is hunting and staging (if you're selling a place too). Then comes the inspections and realities of any problems. Then financing, selling your comic collection for the down payment and then moving and self-improvement to get the place move in ready. Then it can hand off to A+E's Intervention when you start drinking too much looking at the bills for the roof and new deck. Then after you get chased by Dog the Bounty Hunter and Steven Segal when you bail on your mortgage your end up on MSNBC's Lockup. Epic marathon!
Just a quick aside; when we first looked for housing in North Carolina, we called different places and the first question we were asked was what color we were. Uh, we're Asian from Hawaii? Then you're okay. This was AFTER the civil rights act.

ReplyDeleteWhat? That's crazy.
