This week I reach a milestone in every Asian American's life. That's right, I am the Angry Reader of the Week over at AngryAsianMan.com. See what makes my sake boil.
That seems to be a pretty cool site, informative but not 'too angry' lol. I could imagine how counter-productive that would be. Some haters relish in that. As AA men, we just have to keep fighting the fight, and being advocates for positive images (whether in music, arts, academics, sports, etc). Sometimes things get worse by fighting fire with fire- through sheer arrogance/ego \ourselves- so it's a crapshoot. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Your column was funny and cheeky. You son is super cute. Is that a strange way to start a comment? IDK
Anywhoo: As always, you've helped enlighten and broaden my view of Asian people. To be perfectly honest, I always thought that Asian people were "right up there" with White people and now I know by reading your strips, old and new, that Asians were just as oppressed as Blacks, Hispanics, Latinos, Mexicans, Irish, and Native Americans were. (I decided to cut the list short for sake of time) We're all really one big family and I know that one day we'll all realize that. Humans just has a lot more to learn, that's all. I wish you and your family all the success and happiness in the world.

ReplyDeleteThanks. I think you hit the nail on the head. No one wants to hear a lecture. Especially a screaming ranting one.
