Wow! That is totally the Enterprise (original)! The nacelles, the command disk, and the main body, all complete with the correct struts, angled in the correct direction! It's clear now... Star Trek was a documentary!

I agree with Vance, it's the Enterprise! Probably on its way back from stealing the Romulan cloaking device. They turned it on and it created a temporal rift that they got sucked into and went back in time, so now they're in orbit around Mercury while Scotty brings the engines back online, then they're going to slingshot around the sun and go back just in time for Kirk to get stuck on the planet of the Native Americans.
